My sincere thanks to the hard working committee of the club for my invite, it was an honour to judge their show, as always it was well organised very friendly and enjoyable. Many thanks to my stewards and to the exhibitors for bringing their lovely dogs.

Puppy Dog

1. Fox’s Satinbaze Cracksman for Blacktoft (AI). Lovely puppy full of type, moulded head with dark eye giving a gentle expression, good length of neck, defined brisket, liked his length of rib with correct loin. Quality bone and neat feet. Moved steadily when settled. Best Puppy Dog.
2. Curtis’s Tallistar All That Jazz. Preferred the head of 1 but liked the overall size, outline and balance, moulded head with dark eye, defined brisket and good depth of chest. Quality bone and nice feet. Moved steadily.

McConnell’s Kazval Lugano at Torrrweaving. Up to size young dog presenting a balanced racy outline. Nicely moulded head, good reach of neck, deep chest and well constructed body. Quality bone and well muscled rear quarters. Moved freely keeping a level topline.

Simpson’s Pajanbeck Edge of Glory. Presenting a nice outline with plenty of flatcoat exuberance. Pleasing head, good length of neck, adequate front with good depth of chest, correct length of rib and quality bone moved well once settled keeping a level topline.
2.
Wright’s Aricdell Mr Moon. A size larger than I prefer, moulded head with well set ears, moderate reach of neck, good length of rib ,neat feet. Moved well keeping a level topline.
Undergraduate Dog (7,2)

Reekie’s Rotherfield Find a Reason. Liked the size, type, racy outline and overall balance of this young dog. Nicely moulded head with dark eye, moderate reach of neck and well constructed body, well defined brisket and good depth of chest, moderate bend of stifle and quality bone. Moved well keeping level topline.

Manson’s Sylkienorrie Neepy Lantern. Good balanced outline, moulded head with good reach of neck. Defined brisket and good depth of chest. Correct length of rib and loin, adequate bone. Moved well with level topline.

Chipperfield & Higginbotham’sIslstrom All Of A Storm at Howlingale. Lots to like ,medium sized dog presenting a good outline with balance. Moulded head with dark eye giving soft expression well set ears, moderate reach of neck, good lay of shoulder and correct length of upper arm, deep chest and well defined-brisket. Correct rear angulations. Excellent bone and feet, moved ok.

Chipperfield & Higginbotham’s Wistaston The Black Diamond At Howlingale. Balanced and medium sized presenting an enthusiastic racy outline, moulded head and dark eye. Moderate length of neck flowing into a well constructed body, well defined brisket and deep chest, good bone and feet. This dog moves with purpose free and flowing.

McConnell’s Feldkirk Fearghal At Torrweaving. A larger dog but still balanced, pleasing head good reach of neck, deep chest and adequate front. Racy body with good topline, well muscled rear quarters, good bone and feet. Moved well.

Huyton’s Hopevalley Morning Oregon For Hightyne. Good head and dark eye, well constructed body presenting a racy balanced outline, moderate bend of stifle and well muscled rear. Good bone and neat feet. Moved well.

Good length of neck flowing into well constructed front quarters, correct length of rib and loin. Moderate bend of stifle and quality bone. Moved with reach and drive keeping a strong level topline. Reserve Best Dog.

Ross’s Downstream Face The Music JW. Really like the presentation of this dog on the stand, lovely balance and type. Nicely moulded head with correct dark eye giving soft expression. Good length of neck flowing into nicely constructed front quarters with deep chest and well defined brisket. Correct length of rib and loin. Quality bone and neat feet. Moved ok.
Veteran Dog (2,1)

Fox’s SH CH Steelriver Blazin Hot At Blacktoft JW. Lovely mature male, balanced and full of that flatcoat type, moulded head, strong long jaw dark eye with kind expression. Strong neck flowing into correct front assembly correct length of rib and loin. Impressive muscular rear quarters and quality bone and neat feet. Moved well with level topline. Never stops showing with an ever wagging tail. Best Dog, Best Veteran and Best Opposite Sex.

Rattray’s Rotherfield About Time. Lovely happy puppy with loads of flatcoat type. Feminine head with dark eye and melting expression. Good reach of neck, liked her length of rib, quality bone, overall balance and outline. Moved steadily when settled. Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy.

Curtis’s Tallistar Midnight Tango. Another lovely enthusiastic puppy, nicely moulded head with dark eye, good depth of chest, defined brisket, balanced body. Quality bone and neat feet. Moved well. Just preferred the head and outline of 1.
Junior Bitch (2,1)

Stewart’s Eskside Lady of Loganlea. Up to size young bitch at that in between stage of development, moulded head with good reach of neck, deep chest and well defined brisket. Lovely level topline and muscled rear. Moved ok.

Thorpe’s Montreathmont Hot Lips. Taller but well proportioned puppy, liked her head moulded with dark eye and soft expression. Good reach of neck and well placed shoulder, pronounced brisket and good depth of chest.Moved very steadily with super topline. Best Novice.
Undergraduate Bitch (3,2)

Gray’s Rotherfield Reason to Dream of Aislear. Medium size happy and enthusiastic presenting a balanced outline. Nicely moulded head with dark eye and soft expression, moderate reach of neck, defined brisket, good depth of chest and gradual spring of rib, moved ok.
Graduate Bitch (6,1)

Gale’s Willowswind Nette Lark JW. Thought this young bitch looked lovely today. Medium sized, presenting a racy outline, moulded head and dark eye, good reach of neck flowing into well placed shoulders, correct angulation front and rear, well defined brisket and good depth of chest. Adequate bone and neat feet. Free and flowing movement. Best Bitch and Best In Show.
2. Jones’s Blacktoft Sapphire Ice At Benvellyn (AI) Another quality young bitch not as mature as 1 but preferred her head nicely moulded with good eye shape and colour giving a soft expression. Very balanced profile with well defined brisket, good depth of chest, correct length of rib and short loin, moderate bend of stifle. Quality bone and neat feet. Moved well.

Good reach of neck flowing into well constructed body, strong level topline, super free and flowing movement. Reserve Best Bitch and Reserve B.I.S.

Cowans’s Draketor Dartmoor Beauty With Andwalls. Liked her size and balance, nicely moulded head and dark eye, moderate reach of neck, good depth of chest, correct angulations front and rear. Quality bone and feet, moved well.

Young’s SH CH Ballyriver Bimbo. Another quality bitch, medium size and well balanced. Pleasing head with dark eye, very good front construction, good length of rib and moderate bend of stifle. Moved well.

Reid’s Orkhatos Phoebe Sh CM. Liked her size, In her 12th year presenting a nice outline and balance. Moulded head, well constructed body throughout, good depth, level topline and moderate bend of stifle, good bone and feet. Moved steadily.

Buckley’s Buckleyhill Venus. Another quality veteran, more substantial than 1 with balanced outline. Good construction overall, moderate bend of stifle, quality bone. Moved steadily.

Young's Ballyriver Back to Basics. Loved this 8 month old youngster, he was full of confidence. Nice head with melting expression and dark eyes. Very balanced and correct size for age. When moving held his topline. In the best of condition with a super coat. I'm sure he should have a bright future.
2.
Huyton's Go With The Flow Dreams Can Be Joyful At Hightyne. Lovely young lady so expertly handled. Again of the correct size. Moved beautifully. Nicely constructed and well off for bone. Very close decision between 1 and 2.3. Thorpe Montreathmont Hot Lips.
